FACTS ON COMMON TOADSTOOL AND FUNGI NAME
Chlorosplenium aeruginascens [Green Wood Cup] : It produces green cups as well, but usually all that's seen is the wood stain which is prized in furniture making such as parquetry. I have doubts that my photo actually shows this form but until someone clarifies . . . .
Xylaria longipes [Dead Moll's Fingers] : A moll was a gangster's girlfriend, with nickname probably a light-hearted gender equality thing as it's a slimmer version of X. polymorpha [Dead Man's Fingers]. Seemingly it's best using wood that's been infected by this for creating stringed instruments
Lycogala epidendrum [Wolf's Milk] is very similar to Lycogala terrestre so even though may call it L. epidendrum it's not necessarily correct
Sarcoscypha coccinea [Scarlet Elf Cup, Fairies Bath, Mossy Cup] : Said to have been used by North American tribes to stop bleeding
